My first image I have chosen is the Badges. The Denotation of it would be that there are three badges that their reflection opposite them. This picture is in colour. They are red, blue and pink. They are shaped like shields that they used to use in the army.
The Connotation of it would be that the badges mean different things for different purposes in school, like head girl, head boy and prefect. These badges would help people who are trying to look out for them. People would have to wear these on their uniforms.
My second image I have chosen is the Book. The Denotation of it is that its a close up of a book with its book mark hanging out. It is piled on top of another book. This picture is in colour. The background of it is a smooth yellow but clear. The bookmark looks as if it has been hand made.
The Connotation would be that in school everyone is always using them, weather their reading them or writing on them. From books everyone learns, that is the main purpose.
Professional pictures had been chosen, and the text wasn't too long, so it didn't look boring at the first sign. On the other hand, there were 2 pictures without annotations, but they actually got something to do with the note.

ReplyDeleteebi connotations of 'shiny badges' - newness, reward, preciousness, symbols of status etc. Maybe some room to expand.
